Savaye Academy for Family Life Education: Training First Responders for Family Wellness
The Savaye Academy for Family Life Education (S.A.F.E) was established in 2022 as a timely response to the growing crisis affecting marriages and families—an issue that became even more visible following the COVID-19 lockdowns. Across communities, the shortage of trained professionals able to support families at the grassroots level highlighted an urgent need for accessible family life education.
At Savaye LLC, we responded by launching an academy dedicated to training compassionate and capable first responders to marital and family crises. Drawing from over four decades of experience in family life education, curriculum development, and practice, S.A.F.E equips individuals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to strengthen families and help prevent domestic violence, child abuse, and neglect.
Our students come from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. Many arrive with a passion to help families but feel uncertain about how to respond to complex relationship challenges. Through our training, they gain clarity, confidence, and courage to serve as mentors and educators within their communities.
The S.A.F.E certification program consists of 14 modules that provide both theoretical insight and practical tools for effective family mentorship, including:

7. Parenting
8. Spiritual Harmony
9. Premarital Education

14. The Pursuit of Purpose
Beyond classroom learning, participants complete a Practicum, where they demonstrate mastery by applying their knowledge in real-life mentoring contexts and presenting their work before a panel of professionals.
The certification course is offered in partnership with Bernard College of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Graduates who wish to receive an official University transcript and certificate may register with an additional fee for three units of university credits.
Many S.A.F.E graduates go on to serve as family life educators with the Academy, receiving stipends to deliver relationship education in their communities. Through this model alone, over 1,000 individuals were reached in 2025.

The mission of the Savaye Academy for Family Life Education (S.A.F.E) is to train, equip, and empower compassionate individuals to become skilled mentors and educators who can respond effectively to marital and family crises.
Through practical training, mentorship, and community engagement, we prepare leaders who can:

Founder’s Message
Families are the foundation of every thriving society. Yet many couples and parents today are navigating complex relationship challenges without the guidance or skills needed to build healthy, resilient homes.
After more than four decades of working with families across the globe, we have come to see our work not merely as a profession, but as a divine mandate to be a blessing to the families of the earth. Through years of teaching, mentoring, and supporting families from diverse cultural backgrounds, we recognized a growing need for trained individuals who can respond early to relationship struggles before they escalate into crises.
The Savaye Academy for Family Life Education (S.A.F.E) was created to meet that need.
Our journey as founders brings together academic training, professional experience, and nearly forty years of marriage, along with the privilege of raising children and welcoming grandchildren within a beautifully multicultural family context. Our international exposure and decades of work in family life education have allowed us to see firsthand how universal the need is for practical relationship wisdom.
At S.A.F.E, we believe that ordinary people can become extraordinary agents of family transformation when they are equipped with the right knowledge, practical tools, and compassionate understanding. Our goal is not only to educate but also to empower individuals to become trusted mentors who strengthen families within their own communities.
